My approach is holistic - I consider all aspects of what makes us human.  I believe that every client is unique and so I adapt my approach to suit each individual.  

 

I believe that people invariably have all the solutions within themselves.   These solutions are more likely to arise when they are in an environment of love and acceptance and when they can relax and truly be themselves.   I endeavour to create a loving and accepting environment for you.  I naturally have the ability to put people at ease in a relatively short time.

Drawing on a variety of methods and traditions, I am trained to listen deeply, observe closely and provide feedback on what I notice in a non-judgemental way.  You and I then work together from this new place of awareness to heal the past and allow your desired changes to materialise.

Having had extensive experience as a therapist, I have confidence in my ability to quickly assess whether I’m going to be of use to a client or need to refer them elsewhere.   Mine is a highly personalised service.  Clients new to counselling or psychotherapy have often remarked that it wasn’t as arduous or torturous as they were anticipating.  If we can lighten the situation by finding something to laugh about, which is mostly always possible, then all the better.
